The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has expressed a strong sense of vindication and renewed integrity following the President’s recent address, stating that the speech reaffirmed the messages she has consistently shared with her constituents.
According to the MP, several key development projects mentioned by the President align with her advocacy efforts in the constituency. Prominent among them is the 60-bed Euroget Hospital, which she disclosed will soon see the contractor return to the site to complete the project, bringing much-needed healthcare services to the area.
On water supply, Zuwera noted that the President’s emphasis on ongoing water projects validates her earlier assurances to residents. She expressed optimism that, by the grace of Allah, the persistent water challenges in the constituency will soon be resolved.
In the area of education, the MP outlined major developments at Salaga Senior High School. These include the construction of a modern two-storey girls’ dormitory, renovation of the ICT centre to incorporate advanced technology, rehabilitation of the school’s dining hall and kitchen, and plans to build a new assembly hall to address the lack of a dedicated space for gatherings.
She further revealed that additional projects have been submitted to the GETFund Administrator, including the construction of more dormitories for both Salaga Senior High School and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, as well as improvements in basic school infrastructure.
These initiatives, she said, are aimed at upgrading the institutions to Category A status.
she also highlighted the historical significance of the schools, noting that Salaga Senior High School will celebrate its 50th anniversary in September, while T.I. Ahmadiyya marks its 55th anniversary this year.
In a related development, the MP joined sons and daughters of Gonjaland in Buipe on Sunday, April 5, 2026, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Gonjaland Youth Association. She described the golden jubilee as a remarkable milestone that reflects decades of unity, resilience, and commitment to the development of the Gonja community.
She commended the leadership and members of the Association for their dedication to promoting cultural heritage and improving the welfare of the people. Zuwera urged the youth to remain steadfast, innovative, and committed to community development, emphasizing that the future of Gonjaland lies in their hands.
The MP expressed gratitude for the warm reception she received and reaffirmed her commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders to build a stronger and more prosperous Gonjaland.
