Some drivers, passengers and traders travelling from Sefwi Wiawso to Akontombra in the Western North Region, were attacked by robbers who made away with monies and other personal belongings.
One of the victims sustained injuries from gun shots by the robbers. She was sent to hospital for medical attention while others were treated and discharged. According to sources, this is the second time such an incident has happened.
The Sefwi Wiawso Divisional Crime Officer, ASP Solomon Aidoo, briefed Correspondent Kwamina Onumah on the incident and steps to control the crime wave in the newly created Region.
