At least seven (7) people are reported dead after a fatal accident on the Otorkpolu-Odumase Krobo road in the Eastern Region.
The deceased persons were part of a group that was returning from a funeral at Akyem Oda in the same region aboard a VRA bus.
Reports say the accident occurred at about 8 pm Saturday, when the driver of the vehicle lost control of the steering wheel while negotiating a curve at Asitey.
The bus somersaulted several times before landing in a ditch. That’s according to the report.
A joint team of Police and Fire Service personnel from Odumase and Somanya rushed to the scene to help save the situation.
Meanwhile, the injured persons were sent to the St. Martins De Porres Hospital and the Agormanya Government Hospital.
