Star Ghana Foundation has called for a Martial Plan for education in northern Ghana to improve education outcomes in the area.

The Acting CEO for Star Ghana Foundation, Ibrahim-Tanko, said poor education outcomes in northern Ghana is a threat to the security of the nation.

The Regions in the Northern sector have consistently been at the bottom of the educational performance league table in the last two decades.

The meeting is therefore an initiative by Star Ghana Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to address the issue.

The Acting CEO for Star Ghana Foundation, Ibrahim-Tanko Amidu, said the challenges facing education in the area are dimensional and therefore require a multi stakeholder approach to address the issues.

Mr. Ibrahim-Tanko therefore suggested a Marshall Plan to be adopted to enable it to catch up with the rest of the country.
