Sunset Football Club, a Division Two league side, has paid a goodwill visit to Adaklu Goefe Basic School in the Volta Region, as a token of appreciation for the school’s support over the years.
The visit which took place on Monday, 24 November 2025, was led by the club’s administrator, Lawrence Nyavor. It brought joy to pupils and staff of the school.

The school had allowed Sunset FC to use its pitch for training when the club was in Division Three, and the visit was an opportunity for the team to express their gratitude.
During the visit, the club presented soft drinks, biscuits, exercise books, and writing materials to the school, aimed at supporting learners’ education.

Team Manager of Sunset FC, Elikem Afetorgbor stated that the donation is part of Sunset FC’s corporate social responsibility programme, which will be a continuous effort.
“We are here today because Adaklu Goefe Basic School has been supportive in the past, and we are grateful for their help,” Afetorgbor said.

“We plan to continue this support periodically to give back to the Adaklu community, which we are a part of.” He added.
The club has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a close relationship with the school, even after relocating to Sir Noble Park, their new home ground.
The headmistress of the school, Madame Stella Kudah, welcomed the gesture and expressed gratitude for the donation and visit.

“On behalf of the school we are grateful for this donation and we wish Sunset FC continued success in their footballing journey and all thier activities,” she said.
Sunset Football Club is a Division Two team based in Ho, focusing on talent development and aiming to excel in national and international football competitions.
The team was promoted to Division Two during the 2023/24 football season.
