Being a mother bring enough joy in itself as the rewards heavily outweigh the sacrifices women take during their nine months pregnancy.
It is difficult to put words into how wonderful and special it is to be with your child and have him or her with you.
But this joy can turn into something else when the baby is diagnosed with certain diseases like Atrioventriclar Canal Defect (ACD) or in other words hole in heart.
The pain and anguish is too much to bare.
That is the situation Lydia Dossah mother of two months old Nyamekye finds herself now.
Lydia Dossah who happens to be a nurse approached Gloria Anderson the producer of Ghana Today, a magazine programme which is aired daily on Radio Ghana and appealed for financial assistance.
According to her 16 thousand US dollars is needed for little Nyamekye’s surgery.
Ghana Today team is appealing to its cherished listeners both home and abroad to come to little Nyamekye’s aid.
Although many find this very difficult to do, a few have brazed all storms to put smiles on the faces of the needy.
