Two police officers shot dead at Buduburam Liberian camp

Two Police Officers with the Kasoa detachment of the MTTD  have been killed by unknown assailants this afternoon around the Liberia Camp on the Kasoa-Winneba highway.

The incident happened at a check point when the police officers on duty tried to stop an unregistered blue black Toyota camry but the occupants failed to stop and the police pursued them.

According to an eye witness the three  occupants of the vehicle then stopped and opened fire on the officers, killing Sgt. Michael Gyamesi on the spot.

Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal who was also shot was rushed to the Police hospital but is also reported dead.

The occupants of the vehicle then bolted and abandoned the vehicle at Kokrobite.

The police found a registered ruger pistol 343-61265 bearing the name Eric Kojo Duah.

Three suspects Ibrahim Zakaria, Isaac Amissah and Dominic Commey have so far been arrested.

Two suspects including the main suspect is said to be on the run.
