The Upper West Regional Secretariat of the Nation Builders Corp (NABCO) is expected to release 550 NABCO beneficiaries under the Civic and Digital Modules to support government’s Digital Property Addressing System (DPAS).

The Regional Coordinator of NABCO Umar Nuhu Chancellor in an interview with Radio Ghana said the completion of the DPAS will ensure the easy location and identification of properties across the country.

He was speaking at a training workshop for Physical Planners from all eleven Municipal and District Assemblies, Research and Training Core (RTCs) along with District Directors of NABCO.

The commencement of the Digital Property Addressing System (DPAS) will see the electronic tagging of all ‘parcels’ across the country.

This means that all lands and property across the country will be given unique numbers for easy identification.

This process is to give a leg up to the street naming project that was undertaken by MMDAs.

The Regional Coordinator of NABCO Umar Nuhu Chancellor said more than 12 thousand NABCO personnel will be released from their host organization to help complete the DPAS within four weeks.

Mr. Nuhu Chancellor explained that after the completion of the electronic tagging, the next phase of the project would be the affixing of number plates to all the properties.

The Deputy Upper West Regional Minister Issahaku Amidu Chinnia said DPAS means a lot of tax collection as government would be able to track all tax payers.

The Deputy Minister charged the implementers of the project in the Upper West Region execute their mandate efficiently.
