The University of Cape Coast (UCC), has appointed Prof Johnson Nyarko Boampong as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University.
He takes over from the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, whose term of office officially ends on July 31, 2020.
Prof Johnson Nyarko Boampong is currently the Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, UCC.
A letter signed by the Registrar of the University, John Kofi Nyan said the decision was taken by the UCC Council at its Special Meeting held on Wednesday, June 17.
In addition to that, the University Council has also appointed Mr Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame, currently the Director of Academic Affairs as the new Registrar of the university.
He takes over from Mr John Kofi Nyan whose term of office also ends on July 31, 2020. Mr Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame’s appointment takes effect from August 1, 2020.
