On a night filled with glitz and glamour at the Accra International Conference Centre, Thomas Partey, Black Stars and Arsenal midfield sensation, emerged as the star of the evening as he was named the footballer of the year at the 7th Ghana Football Awards held on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The event celebrated the finest talents in Ghanaian football, with Partey’s outstanding performance earning him top honors and recognition for his contributions to the sport.
Partey’s journey in football has been nothing short of remarkable since his breakthrough at the Spanish club Atletico Madrid. His impressive performances in Europe, particularly with Arsenal, have not only captivated fans but also elevated the profile of Ghanaian footballers on the international stage.
His consistent top-level performance has made him a role model for aspiring players in Ghana and beyond, inspiring a new generation of footballers to aim for greatness.
During the 2024/25 season, the 32-year-old delivered some of the best performances of his career. He contributed to four goals and provided two assists in 52 appearances from the midfield.
