Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, are gearing up for an exciting Asian tour this November as they edge closer to securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup in North America.

The four-time African champions will face two of Asia’s football powerhouses in international friendlies, offering valuable preparation for the upcoming global and continental challenges.

Under the guidance of head coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars are scheduled to first compete against Japan on November 14 in Toyota during the Kirin Cup, a prestigious tournament in Asian football.

Following this, Ghana will travel to Seoul to confront South Korea on November 17. Both Japan and South Korea have already booked their places in the 2026 World Cup and are expected to field strong squads, making these matches a true test for Ghana’s readiness.

This Asian tour is a strategic move by the Ghana Football Association to keep the team in top form and provide meaningful international competition ahead of next year’s key tournaments.

It also allows Coach Addo to evaluate emerging talents and fine-tune tactics, ensuring the team is well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Currently, the Black Stars lead Group I in the World Cup qualifiers with an impressive 22 points, highlighted by their dominant 5-0 win over the Central African Republic in Morocco.

This strong performance positions them favorably on their path to the World Cup.

The team’s immediate focus is now on a crucial qualifying match against Comoros on Sunday, October 12, 2025 where a victory could secure Ghana’s official qualification for the 2026 World Cup before the Asian tour kicks off.

The upcoming fixtures mark an important phase as the Black Stars seek to build momentum and confidence on the road to next year’s global football showcase.
