Ghanaian club, Real Tamale United (RTU) have sent five of its players to Turkey for trials with a German football club currently holding its pre-season camp in Europe.
The initiative, led by RTU Chief Executive Officer Zakaria Safianu, is part of the club’s strategy to provide its players with international exposure and career advancement opportunities.
The selected players will have the chance to showcase their talent during the German team’s pre-season training in Turkey, where their performances will be closely evaluated in both training sessions and friendly matches. The trial offers a potential pathway to professional contracts abroad, a significant step for the players and RTU’s reputation.
Having fought hard for promotion into the Ghana Premier League last season but failed, RTU views this trial program as a reward for the players’ dedication and an important move to enhance the club’s image as a hub for developing and exporting football talent. The players’ identities have not yet been announced, but club officials are optimistic about the prospects.
