World No.2 Coco Gauff has guaranteed her place in the final at the 2025 Roland Garros after ending French wild card Loïs Boisson’s fairytale run. The 21-year-old American tennis star defeated Boisson 6-1, 6-2 in just 69 minutes, setting up a blockbuster match against World No.1  Aryna Sabalenka.

Gauff’s victory over Boisson marks her first Grand Slam final since winning the 2023 US Open, where she also defeated Sabalenka. The American has returned to her career-high ranking after a string of remarkable results, including winning the 2024 WTA Finals and reaching back-to-back finals at the Mutua Madrid Open and the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.

Sabalenka, the world No. 1, secured her spot in the final after beating Iga Swiatek, in a gripping three-set match. The Belarusian has yet to drop a set at the tournament, showcasing her dominance on the clay courts.

The final between Gauff and Sabalenka promises to be an exciting encounter, with both players having a history of competing at the highest level. Gauff’s victory over Sabalenka in the 2023 US Open final adds an extra layer of intrigue to their upcoming match.
