Anthony Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz Jr in a world heavyweight boxing bout to become a two-time world champion with a unanimous decision in his favor on Saturday 7th December 2019.
This was a rematch bout as Ruiz defeated Anthony Joshua on 1st June 2019 at the Madison square Garden in New York. Joshua was originally scheduled to face undefeated WBA no. 2 and WBO no. 3 ranked heavyweight Jarrell Miller, who was replaced by Ruiz Jr. after Miller failed three drug tests.
All three judges scored in favor of Anthony Joshua by 118-110,118-110,119-109.
The bout happened in Diriyah in Saudi Arabia.
A third fight could be possible as both athletes gave their green light for a possible rematch
