Veteran Serbian trainer Kosta Papic has been named Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak.

The 60-year-old replaces Edward Odoom, who has been in charge since December 2019.

Papic returns to Hearts of Oak’s after leading them to the 2009 Ghana Premier League title.

Papic will be assisted by Asare Bediako, while Odoom is set to take charge of the club’s youth side, Auroras.

Hearts have struggled this season, with just one point from their opening two games.

The experienced Serbian has managed teams in Tanzania, South Africa and eSwatini since leaving Hearts 11 years ago.

Papic’s first task will be to lead Hearts against Karela in Accra on Friday.
