Horti EP Primary School emerges champions of Volta Region in Table Tennis

In an incredible display of determination, skill, and grit, Horti EP Primary School has emerged as the champions of the Volta Region in Table Tennis.

This outstanding achievement marked the school’s first Gold medal for the Akatsi South Municipality at the just-ended 54th edition of the Inter-district School Sports Festival held in Hohoe.

The girls’ team, consisting of Kpatah Irene, Ahiadome Millicent, Akuaku Naomi, and Atitsogbui Jenifer, achieved this feat after winning their first Gold medal in inter-school competitions in March 2025, followed by another victory at the inter-circuit sports festival in April 2025.

This accomplishment is particularly significant for the school, which has been striving for recognition in sports.

Horti EP Primary School’s victory serves as an inspiration for the entire Horti Community and students.

Since its establishment in 1946, this is the first time the school has represented the municipality and experienced such success, positioning it as a force to be reckoned with.

Headteacher of Horti EP Primary School, Mr. Dovlo Kplom, who doubles as the coach of the table tennis athletes, credited their historic win to grace, determination, and hard work, aiming to make the Horti Community and students proud.
