2m Express starts operations in Accra

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano Constituency in the Eastern Region and Chairman for the Parliamentary Select Committee on Roads and Transport, Samuel Ayeh-Paye, says transport business is one of the surest and major ways in reducing poverty and unemployment in the country.

Speaking at the opening of 2m Express transport system in Accra yesterday (June 20), Mr Samuel Ayeh-Paye said transportation plays an essential role in the economic development of the country.

He assured the management of 2m Express Transport System that his Committee will do its best to assist the young company to expand its domain.

The MP said government has contributed massively to the development of the road and transport sector.

The Head of Operations for 2m Express Transport System, Dr. Sefa Bediako noted that the vision and mission of 2m Express is to provide safe, comfortable and innovative transport solutions to Ghanaians at very affordable margins.

Present at the brief ceremony were the MP for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo, MP for Bantama Constituency, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, former Bantama Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwabena Owusu Dwomoh and some Chiefs from the Ga traditional area.

The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, who is also the Board Chairman of 2m Express, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, urged the public to patronize the services of the new transport system since it is safe and affordable.
