Some people are said to be still travelling outside the jurisdictions of the locked-down areas. The Ada West and East Districts in the Greater Accra Region and the South Tongu District of the Volta Region are recording huge numbers of people relocating from their bases in Accra, Tema and Ashaiman. Their motive is to escape from the lockdown areas where they lament prices of foodstuffs have shot up.
Some of them who declined to speak on the record told Radio Ghana said that they will be better off living in their villages than staying in the cities where they cannot move out to work and earn a living. Others have also resorted to devising ways to outwit the security services to leave them.
