A Catholic priest who is accused of sexually abusing a South African school boy in the 1980s is to be extradited.
William Segodisho said he was raped by Jesuit priest Father William MacCurtain at a Catholic homeless shelter.
Father MacCurtain who is 84 years and living in a Bournemouth care home, said he deeply regrets the pain he caused.
According to Mr.Segodisho the priest promised him schooling, bought him clothes and took him for meals but wanted sexual favours in return.
Miranda Friedman, of campaign group Women and Men Against Child Abuse, said Mr. Segodisho has been subjected to absolute exploitation and called for the priest’s extradition to South Africa to face justice.
