President of the World Bank David Malpass, has warned that about 60 million people will be pushed into extreme poverty by the Coronavirus.

He said the Bank expects global economic growth to shrink by 5 percent this year as nations deal with the pandemic.

This has already led to millions losing their jobs and businesses falling with poorer countries feeling the brunt.

The World Bank defines extreme poverty as living below a dollar per person per day.
