The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC was among six media organisations to be recognised for outstanding delivery at the 26th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) awards ceremony.

GBC was recognised for its constant reports on issues concerning persons with disability. A citation was presented to the Corporation.

The Director General of GBC, Professor Amin Alhassan accompanied by the Acting Director of Radio, Yaw Opoku Agyapong received the award on behalf of the Corporation.

Other media houses that also received special awards were Graphic Communications Group, Ghana News Agency (GNA), Despite Media Group (UTV-Peace FM), Atinka Media Village, and New Times Corporation.

The theme for the awards ceremony was “Walking The Path Towards Ghana’s Economic Recovery: The Role of The Media”.

The event was organised at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
