It is for this reason that the Paper supports the call by a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Jones Dotse for the use of ADR mechanisms in conflict prevention and resolution. According to the Graphic, for the ADR to be effective, parties must be encouraged to negotiate in good faith by considering the interests of the other parties. The paper believes when effectively utilised, ADR can save a lot of time and money and also aid access to justice.
