The DAILY GRAPHIC describes as bold the decision by the Ministry of Education to roll out a new curriculum for KG one to primary six pupils, which will commence next month.  According to the paper, the new curriculum will among other things track the progress of pupils and help identify strong and weak areas so that learners will receive the support they need. The paper is happy that the Ministry through the Ghana Education Service has organized a week long training session to ensure that those who will implement the new curriculum are in tune with the new reforms.

The GHANAIAN TIMES adds its voice to calls for a positive attitude by MMDCEs towards their work. The paper points to instances where the Northern Regional Minister Salifu Saeed and Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Collins Ntim have lamented the lackadaisical attitude of MMDCEs towards official duties. The Times believes that the admonition of the two ministers on lateness and poor attendance  to meetings would be a wakeup call for the MMDCEs to change their attitudes.
