As Junior High Students begin this year’s BECE on Monday, September 14, the Ghanaian Times encourages them to be confident and put in their best so as to emerge successful. The paper motivates them to pass the exams because there are no barriers in entering the next level of education as government has made Senior High School free. The Times adds its voice to calls on candidates to ignore people who sell leaked examination papers and urges students to rather concentrate on passing their papers based on personal efforts. The paper also calls on the West African Examinations Council to plug all loopholes that allow students to cheat during the exams.

The Daily Graphic says one of the key moves by government to restore the economy to normalcy is the opening of the country’s air space to all flights. The paper believes the move shows that Ghana is coming back stronger against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. In a Facebook post over the weekend, the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana argued that until Covid-19 is eradicated, there is the need to learn to adapt to save lives and promote economic resilience. The Graphic agrees with the High Commission’s argument and called on all to continually adhere to all safety protocols.
