The Daily Graphic advocates the need for proper community planning to reduce the impact of a pandemic. It says the COVID-19 pandemic and resultant social distancing protocol exposes the danger looming in unplanned communities. The paper adds that conscious efforts should be made to plan towns and cities in the country. It says there are many advantages to be derived from a well-planned environment especially keeping society out of harm’s way in the event of a pandemic like COVID-19.

The Ghanaian Times is of the view that data is critical in the fight against the Coronavirus. It says the implementation of all measures instituted to fight COVID-19 can only be measured via accurate, reliable and timely data. Therefore, the government should make good use of critical data in its decisions to curtail COVID-19. The paper says even though Ghana has limited resources, it is important to invest in critical areas such as the Ghana Statistical Service to enable them to provide the public with adequate and reliable data.
