Terrorism has become the biggest threat to global peace, so the Daily Graphic welcomes the advise by the Chief Imam to Muslims to report any suspicious character they identify within their midst to the security agencies for them to deal decisively with any imminent attack. The paper believes the advise is not only applicable to Muslims but all Ghanaians as well. The paper recalls the terrorist attack in a Catholic Church in Burkina Faso and plans by terrorist to invade Ghana and other neighbouring countries. It therefore urges all individuals to be extra vigilant in places with large number of people. The Graphic calls on the media and other relevant bodies to immediately roll out education and sensitisation programmes to sensitize the masses to what to do to foil terrorist attacks.

The Ghanaian Times is elated that the closed season is coming off finally and recognises the impact the measure is expected to have on the fisheries sector. The paper congratulates all stakeholders in the sector for the efforts put into this activity and urges fishermen to adhere to the timeline as they would be the first to smile when the fish stock is replenished. The Times recalls the estimated 100,000 metric tonnes of fish that was landed illegally through pair trawling and transshipment of fish on high seas causing a loss of about 50 million dollars revenue to the state. It urges the sector ministry to take action on these activities so the fisherman would not sacrifice in vain.
