The Ghanaians Times condemns the action by members of the Western Togoland secessionist group which took place yesterday in parts of the Volta Region. It also condemns in the strongest terms the shootout that led to the injuries sustained by some members of the group and suggests that adequate security be provided for the people of the area. The Paper says all those who are behind the dastardly act should be arrested and dealt with appropriately. It says the country cannot allow few people to destabilize it for their parochial interest. Ghana, the paper notes is a peaceful democratic country that must not be plunged into the abyss by people whose motives are unclear and unconstitutional.
The Daily Graphic says gains realised in the fight against COVID-19 must not be eroded. The Paper therefore drums home the need for all to appreciate the fact that individual have roles to play in kicking the COVID-19 completely out of the country. The Graphic advises people to continuously strive to adhere to the basic protocols and all other directives. It thus, commends government for its efforts so far, while urging all to complement those efforts with adherence to the protocols.
