Daily Graphic Commends Chiefs especially the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu, The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede, Okyehene, Osagyefo Amotia Ofori Panin and many others who used their offices and influence to bring investors and other initiatives into the country. The paper prays that the numbers will translate into new investments in the country. It notes that already much has been done by government including the paperless port, removal of customs barriers in the country’s transit corridor and the institution of joint inspection by border agencies to reduce the cost of doing business in the country. The Graphic urges government to continue to introduce more of such business-friendly intiatives saying that is what will translate the numbers that attended the Asantehene’s forum into real business and create employment.

The Ghanaian Times is concerned that disagreement has emerged among fishermen groups over the closed season timeline set by the Ministry of fisheries and Aquaculture. It says the disagreement threaten to derail the official timeline which is a source of worry for industry players.  The paper is worried because similar disagreement led to the postponement of the ban on fishing from 2018 to 2019 season. It notes that all the groups agree on the off season, but disagrees on the timeline which can be resolved through dialogue. The Times appeal to the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, to lead the dialogue with all stakeholders to find a suitable timeline for the off season.
