The Ghanaian Times commends government for offering 600 million cedis stimulus package to SME’s across the country. The amount is expected to support more than 200,000 businesses to sustain the COVID-19 pandemic. While applauding the government for creating the Fund, the Ghanaian Times urges the NBSSI to expedite action on the disbursement of the package to the SME’s to enable them to address the challenges that they might have encountered during these difficult times. The Paper thinks the welcome relief must be embraced by the SME’s and used to support the country to come out of the crisis economically stronger.

The Daily Graphic writes on the need to ensure proper management of landfill sites. It says because landfill sites within the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area are not enough about 1,000 tones of refuse are dumped at the Kpone site, which has capacity for about 500 tonnes of waste per day. The paper says the rains have set in, and the earlier something is done about it the better for waste management efforts. The Daily Graphic, therefore, urges the AMA, TMA, EPA and waste management companies to take the necessary steps to ensure that sanity prevails.
