Global K-pop group BTS has partnered with Oreo to release a limited-edition cookie to celebrate the group’s 13th anniversary, the companies have announced.
Called “Purple Oreo by BTS”, the product features a brown sugar pancake-flavoured crème inspired by hotteok, a popular Korean street snack. The cookie also introduces Oreo’s first-ever purple wafers, a colour closely associated with BTS and its global fanbase, ARMY.
The limited-edition cookies feature 13 unique embossments designed by the group to commemorate their 13 years in the music industry. The designs include the names of the seven members, BTS symbols and references to their fan community.
Pre-orders for the collectible cookies will begin on June 1, 2026, through Oreo’s official campaign platform, ahead of a wider retail release on June 8. The product will be available in more than 80 countries, making it one of Oreo’s largest global collaborations to date.
As part of the campaign, fans will be able to scan a QR code on the packaging to participate in a digital “love letter” initiative, allowing them to send messages to the group and compete for exclusive BTS-themed merchandise.
In a statement, BTS described the collaboration as an opportunity to share a taste of Korean culture with fans around the world, noting that hotteok was a snack many of the members enjoyed growing up.
The collaboration comes as BTS continues to celebrate its reunion following the completion of the members’ mandatory military service and marks the group’s first global partnership with a major snack brand.
