The final funeral rites of veteran Ghanaian highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba, will be held on Saturday, 6 December 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Daddy Lumba, whose career is defined by a distinctive voice, impactful lyrics, and an enduring influence on Ghana’s music scene, is remembered as one of the country’s most celebrated performers.

A statement shared by DL FM on Facebook said the ceremony is expected to attract a large crowd of mourners, including family members, friends, fans, fellow musicians, and well-wishers, who will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.

The organisers have extended an open invitation to the public to attend the event and take part in honouring the late musician.

“Come join family, friends, fans, and well-wishers as we bid a dignified farewell to an icon whose music touched generations,” the post read.

Daddy Lumba passed away in the early hours of Saturday, 26 July 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra, where he had been receiving medical care for an undisclosed illness.
