Popular Nigerian musician Davido has expressed deep concern over the growing insecurity in the country, reacting to the recent kidnapping of young girls in Kebbi State and the attack on a church in Kwara State.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Davido shared a message of sympathy for the victims and their families of the young girls who were kidnapped.
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain.”
The artiste also mourned the victims of the church attack in Kwara, describing the incident as tragic and unacceptable.
“I am also deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and for everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he wrote.
Davido called for urgent action to rescue the schoolgirls abducted in Kebbi, urging anyone with credible information to support the ongoing efforts in a safe and responsible way.
“Everything must be done to bring the Kebbi girls home safely,” he said, appealing for public cooperation.
He ended his message with prayers for the victims, their families, and for peace in Nigeria. “May God watch over the girls until they return. May He comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame.”
He added that Nigerians must stand together in unity as the country faces repeated attacks from armed groups involved in killings and kidnappings.
Davido’s message comes at a time when many Nigerians are worried about the rising cases of kidnappings and killings across the country, often carried out by armed groups who demand ransom from families before releasing their victims.
