The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has officially launched its 2024 Tourism Report, offering an analysis of the country’s tourism sector and revealing the most visited attractions nationwide.

The launch event, held yesterday, brought together government officials and tourism stakeholders, including Member of Parliament, Hon Yussif JaJah Issaka, Deputy CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Abeiku Santana, and the CEO of Ghana Tourism Development Company, Prof. Kobby Mensah.

According to the report, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park emerged as the most visited tourist attraction in the country, recording an impressive 333,233 visitors. The park continues to serve as a powerful symbol of Ghana’s independence and historical legacy.

Following closely on the list is the Kakum National Park, renowned for its iconic canopy walkway, which drew 183,757 visitors. Other top attractions include the Bunso Arboretum (155,149 visitors), the Kumasi Zoo (133,954), and the Cape Coast Castle, which welcomed 120,242 people through its historic doors.

The 2024 Ghana Tourism Report highlights not only the popularity of historical landmarks such as the Elmina Castle and Manhyia Palace Museum, but also the growing appeal of nature-based tourism sites like Shai Hills Resource Reserve and the Aburi Botanical Gardens.
