Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has explained the spiritual meaning behind his popular SM hand symbol, revealing that it represents deep beliefs beyond music.
Speaking in a discussion with Kelvin Taylor, Shatta Wale said the three fingers he raises on one hand stand for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, while the three fingers on the other hand represent God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Shatta Wale further explained that the Shatta Movement has gone beyond just love for music and entertainment. He believes it has now taken a more spiritual direction.
“ Shatta movement e grow catch a place where is of a religious ground now, anybody that comes into Shatta movement just know that we have a believe for something, that is where the thing is driven to because people want hope, people want someone who will give them motivation , people want someone who can help them understand life “ he mentioned.
The musician also revealed that many fans now approach him for prayers and spiritual support.
“Recently a go some place, some two girls, they come kneel down they say make a pray for them , I heard their hands and shared some little prayer with them, e no bi them alone , adey get people in my inboxes, Mae a pray for them,so adey dem people voice notes” he said.
In recent times, fans have been raising conversations about Shatta Wale’s religious life and spiritual practices. The way he speaks and preaches during public appearances has sparked discussions online.
While some fans believe Shatta Wale could one day turn into a prophet, others say he has the ability to win many souls for Christ through his music career.
