The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee election, has been slated for Saturday, September 1, at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana.
More than one thousand delegates are expected to converge on the venue to elect Regional Officers, who would steer the affairs of the party in the 2020 election.
Greater Accra Regional Elections Committee Secretary, Nii Tan Sackey said all the 76 nominees who filed to contest the election have been cleared by the Vetting Committee.
He noted that the elections of the Regional Youth Executive Committee, would take place on Monday, August 27, though the party is yet to settle on the venue.
The Regional Women’s Wing election has also been scheduled to take place at Ada on Wednesday, August 29.
Mr Sackey urged all candidates to conduct clean campaigns devoid of attacks.
