The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye has called on members of the Parliamentary Press Corps to go about their duties with due diligence when covering proceedings in the House.

The Speaker warned that the Media would be unwelcome guests to the House if they fail to discharge their duties to the House responsibly.

Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye gave the warning prior to the start of debate on the President’s 2020 State of the Nation Address.

This was after the Majority Leader, Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, expressed strong reservations about the failure of the Parliamentary Press Corps to cover the debate on the State of the Nation Address.

Meanwhile, Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrissu, backed the Majority Leader’s concerns and urged the media to be guided.
