Deplorable roads have been a source of worry to many Ghanaians. With the rains setting in, the roads have become unmotorable. Residents along Afienya to Dodowa stretch are appealing to the government to fix their roads to facilitate their businesses.

The road linking Afienya, Mobole, Sota to Dodowa has been in a deplorable state for many years. Besides, Factories, Schools, Churches, businesses and many Estate Houses flood  in these Communities.

Some Businessmen and House Owners say people  are not patronizing their services due to the bad nature of the road.

The residents say it takes 15 minutes to drive from Afienya to Dodowa but they spend more than an hour on the same road due to its deplorable nature.

A resident of Afienya,  Rev. Richard Quarshie who owns a Church in the Community, told GBC News that many governments have come to promise a number of times  to construct  the road, but the roads are yet  to be fixed.

The residents say drivers often do not want to play the Afienya to Dodowa stretch, hence, it has become extremely difficult to get transportation to work and also to commute to other places.

Residents of Adenta yearn for motorable roadsDriving through the stretch, the news team came across some broken down cars being worked on.

The drivers said the bad nature of the roads had often caused damages to their vehicles hence, their inability to frequent that stretch.

They are once  again appealing to the government to help them with a good road.
