The Annor Yeboah Care Foundation has launched a new educational initiative to support orphans, beginning with a special outreach visit to the New Hope Orphanage Home. The visit marked a major milestone for the Foundation as it rolled out its first formal intervention under its education programme.
With the support of trustees, partners, and volunteer teachers from Anny Memorial International School, the Foundation conducted entrance examinations for the children at the orphanage. Teachers facilitated and marked the exams on site, after which successful candidates were selected for placement in school. A tailor was also present to take uniform measurements of the selected students, and each child went through an interview process.

During the visit, the team interacted with the founder of the orphanage, Nii Afotey Odai, who welcomed the support and described it as timely. He appealed to government and stakeholders in the education sector to partner with the Foundation to extend the opportunity to more children. He also encouraged schools to open their doors to vulnerable children who show potential but lack access.

Established in 1994 by the late Bishop Professor Annor Yeboah, the Annor Yeboah Care Foundation has remained committed to improving lives in underserved communities. Its work spans formal and vocational education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and water provision. The Foundation is currently managed by the late Bishop’s family, who continue to advance his vision of holistic community support.

The Foundation says it is excited about the progress made and is hopeful that more individuals, schools, and donors will join the mission. It has extended an open invitation to educational institutions willing to admit any of the selected children, and is appealing for continued support to keep the programme running.
The Foundation’s leadership believes this marks the start of something much greater. With sustained support, they believe many more orphaned children across the country can be given a chance at education and a future filled with hope.
