Ban on public gathering extended for two weeks

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by Executive Instrument (EI) under EI 64 has extended the duration of the restrictions imposed on public gatherings for another two weeks with effect from Monday, 13th April, 2020.

The ban was to be lifted on Monday 13th April; but according to a statement issued on Sunday 12th April, the President has signed the Executive Instrument (EI) extending the duration of the restrictions imposed under EI 64 and EI 65.

The President on Sunday, March 15, 2020 declared a ban on all public gatherings including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, church activities and other related events as part of measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
