Former Vice President and flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has shown his readiness to work with the grassroots of the party with support from the 88 mighty minority in parliament.
He affirmed it after he filed nomination to contest in the upcoming national election. This happened on August 28, 2025 at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
Dr. Bawumia used the opportunity to highlight many issues, ” won’t Ghana and the NPP be better if instead of focusing your guns on Bawumia, you focus on holding the government accountable to show that you can lead”.
He stated that, his experience as vice president makes him the right candidate for the NPP and that he demonstrates his strength by getting results not by making noise, insulting or bragging about money.
Dr. Bawumia also highlighted that, there is no town or city in Ghana without his image and that they are not going to start from the scratch therefore they should win together and win with Bawumia.
