The Christian Council of Ghana, in collaboration with the Registrar General’s Department, has officially launched the 2025 edition of Christian Home Week at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Accra. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Marriage the Right and Meaningful Way,” places a spotlight on strengthening families through godly principles and promoting enduring Christian values in the home.

Christian Home Week is an annual initiative that advocates for responsible parenting, spiritual unity, and faith-based marriages.

The 2025 launch brought together clergy, government officials, and family advocates, all united in their commitment to reinforcing biblical foundations within Ghanaian homes.

Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, who serves as the 2025 Christian Home Week Ambassador, encouraged Ghanaians to honor marriage as a sacred covenant. He underscored the importance of godly parenting, mutual respect, and a Christ-centered lifestyle as key elements in raising future leaders and fostering strong communities.

Guest speaker Dr. Fatima Alabo, an educationalist, described marriage as a divine responsibility that requires commitment, effort, and spiritual guidance. She warned against unrealistic romantic ideals and modern redefinitions of marriage including same-sex unions urging couples to root their relationships in Christian values and discipline.

In a media interview, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, CEO of the MILLS Institute, urged the youth to uphold godly marriage in the face of changing cultural norms. He emphasized the importance of protecting the spiritual essence of marriage for the benefit of future generations.
