The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance works in parts of the Greater Accra, Tema, Volta and Central regions on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
According to ECG, the exercise forms part of efforts to improve service delivery and will result in temporary power outages in the affected communities.
In the Tema Region, maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Areas expected to be affected include Roman, Underbridge Market, State School for the Deaf, Kanewu, BBF, GCB Training School, Kokobribri, Buade, Royal Ravico, Alton Hotel, Junction Mall, Community 25, High Tension, Sackey, Bediako, Golf City Police Station, Ghana Flag, Bulasu, Afienya Zongo and their environs.
For the Greater Accra Region, the works are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Communities to be impacted include Odorkor, Darkuman, Darkuman Zongo, Shalom Estate, Pantang Village, Mr. Smith, Abokobi, Ashongman Village, Abloradjei Town and nearby areas.
In the Volta Region, the exercise will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Affected areas are Kadjebi, Asato, Wawaso, Okanta, Dzindzoso, Kodibenum, Titiaka, Mempeasem and surrounding communities.
The Central Region will also experience outages from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Areas to be affected include Yamoransa, Sammy Otoo SHS, Kobinah Ansah and its environs. In addition, a separate exercise will cover the entire Assin-Fosu township and its surrounding communities including Juaben, Assin South District Assembly, Manso, Ochiso, Dompim, Assin Breku District Assembly, Kushea and Senchem.
ECG has apologised for the inconvenience and urged customers in the affected areas to take note and prepare accordingly.
