Fire last night gutted wooden structures in a fishing community at Waterland, a suburb in Tema New Town.
Some victims who had their structures destroyed by fire are appealing to government for help.
According to them, they have no place of abode since their only resting place has been razed down by the fire.
In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, some eyewitnesses said they heard someone shouting for help from one of the wooden structures.
Others also alleged that the fire could have been caused by a gas explosion.
The cause of fire is not yet known as the Tema Regional Fire Service is yet to commence investigations into the incident.
