Ghana requires more than $22 billion to tackle climate change before 2030

Africa needs between 140 and 300 billion dollars to tackle Climate Change before the 2030 deadline set by the Paris Agreement. Of this figure, Ghana will require an excess of 22 billion dollars.
For this reason, stakeholders in Climate Change advocacy, have called on Developed Countries to support African countries with the needed resources to effectively tackle Climate change.
At a media briefing in Accra on the 25th Conference of Parties held in Spain last year dubbed COP 25, the Acting Director of Environment at the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Peter Dery said government will provide six billion dollars of the amount required.
