Upper West Regional Minister Alhaji Sulemana Alhassan has hinted that government is considering introducing shea crop next year as one of the cash crops to be planted under the Planting for Export and Rural Development.

He said shea serves as cash crop for people in the northern part of the country and it will not only enhance the livelihood of the people and transform the economy but also help to restore the fast degrading environment.

The Regional Minister stated this when he presented cashew seedlings to farmers at Gaa in the Wa West District. Correspondent Sualah Abdul-wahab reports.
