The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly operating an unlicensed clinic at Yeji Zongo in the Bono East Region for more than a decade.
The suspect, identified by the police as Hanson Osei, was picked up on September 28, 2025, after intelligence led officers to his residence, where he had converted a chamber-and-hall apartment into a makeshift clinic.
In a statement signed by the Bono East Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Appiah Danquah, the police said a search at the premises uncovered used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets and other medical supplies.
During interrogation, Osei admitted to running the facility for the past 11 years without authorisation.
He has since been arraigned before the Tuobodom District Court, where he was remanded into custody to reappear on October 6, 2025.
