The Melcom Care Foundation has made a charitable donation to patients at the Dialysis Unit of the 37 Military Hospital as part of its Christmas season outreach.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Foundation, the Head of Marketing for the Melcom Group, Eric Osei Annor said the gesture was aimed at showing compassion and support to patients undergoing treatment during the festive period.

He noted that the donation was made on behalf of Melcom’s executive management and the Melcom Care Foundation to encourage the patients and wish them a speedy recovery and a Merry Christmas.

Brand Ambassador for Melcom, Giovanni Caleb, said the Foundation decided to spend the Christmas season with the patients, acknowledging that many of them are unable to be with their families due to their health conditions.

He explained that the donation was a token of appreciation and gratitude to God for the lives of the patients, adding that the initiative reflects Melcom’s commitment to standing with vulnerable groups in society.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Military Nurse, Kennel Vivian Malvin Adzah expressed gratitude to the Melcom Care Foundation for the unexpected gesture. She thanked the Foundation on behalf of the hospital’s command, management, nursing staff, officers, soldiers, civilian staff, and patients, describing the donation as timely and overwhelming.

She also noted that healthcare requires continuous support and expressed hope for sustained collaboration in the future.

The Head of Marketing further explained that the initiative was championed by Madam Sonia Sadhwani, Executive Group Director of Melcom and Executive Director of the Melcom Care Foundation.

According to him, the Foundation focuses on supporting the needy and vulnerable, and the donation to the Dialysis Unit was a deliberate effort to encourage patients during the festive season.

He added that the Melcom Care Foundation undertakes charitable activities annually and has planned several year-long initiatives for the coming years. He invited members of the public and corporate bodies to partner with the Foundation through the Melcom Group’s corporate communications department at its North Industrial Area head office.

The Melcom Group also used the occasion to remind the public that its stores remain open throughout the Christmas holidays and that its ongoing “Santa Savings” promotion offers customers opportunities to shop for the festive season.
