The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has praised residents who returned parts and personal items taken from the recent helicopter crash site at Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom District.
Speaking during a live session on his social media page, Dr. Amoakohene said the returned items will help with ongoing investigations into the crash. He commended the public for responding positively to the call for the return of missing parts.
“Some parts of the helicopter and other belongings were not found at the scene, so we announced that anyone who picked something should return it. We promised a small reward, and thankfully, some people have submitted items to the unit committee and assembly members,” he said.
The Minister urged those who still have any parts or items from the scene to return them immediately, saying every piece is important for the investigation.

“Anyone still holding on to parts or belongings from the crash should return them, no matter how small. These things are needed for the investigation,” he added.
Dr. Amoakohene also revealed that the district has arranged for counseling psychologists to support families of the victims and individuals who were at the scene especially those who helped in the search efforts in the forest.
He added that people who traveled from other regions for the event before the crash, and anyone affected by the incident, can also get counseling support. A contact number will soon be made available for those in need.
He thanked the public for their support and cooperation during this difficult time.
