National ID Cards: Registration for journalists begins March 7

The National Identification Authority (NIA)  will from tomorrow begin registering members of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) for the purpose of issuing them National Identification Cards .

In a statement, General Secretary of the GJA, Kofi Yeboah said the exercise is scheduled to take place at the premises of the Ghana International Press Center from March 7 to 14 2019.

It begins from 8am and ends  at 4pm each day.

GJA members are required to present on the day of registration either a valid passport or a birth certificate, a digital address; which can be obtained by downloading the Ghana Post GPS onto one’s phone and generating the address at the gate of residence.

Members are also required to present their Driver’s License,Voter ID Card, SSNIT ID Card, National Health Insurance ID Card, TIN Number and House Number.

The statement says GJA members are to present the originals of all documents to make registration for a National Identification Card, a successful one.
