The New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive, Samuel Adongo has embarked on a project to rehabilitate and fix the potholes and the deplorable road network from the Effiduase Roundabout to Akwadum on the Koforidua to Suhum Highway in the Eastern Region.
The notable portion of the road that has caught the attention of many is the portion in front the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly. It is as a result that the Mr. Adongo after assuming office two weeks ago, has decided to fix all the potholes on the road to make it pliable for motorists and pedestrians.
In an exclusive interview with GBC News, he mentioned that as the rainy season approaches, there is the urgent need to rehabilitate the deplorable roads in the Municipality to enable easy plying of the roads.

Mr. Adongo noted that though the road has been awarded to a contractor to reconstruct, the Assembly cannot sit unconcerned for motorists and pedestrians to struggle plying the road, hence the need to fuel the District Road Improvement Project, DRIP Machines to help temporary fix all the potholes on the road.
He noted that though there has been reduction in fuel prices and lorry fares, some of the drivers have refused to reduce their fares due to the deplorable nature of the road.
The New Juaben North MCE, Mr. Adongo speaking on his plans for the Assembly in the years ahead mentioned that creation of job for the teeming youth, construction of major market centre and lorry station for the municipality are some of his vision for the Municipality.
He pledged his commitment to improving upon sanitation, educational infrastructure and the health facilities in the municipality.
